In 2019, the Portuguese brand SANJO® was acquired by a business group from Braga and, with a new young and dynamic team, set its main goal as bringing the SANJO® brand back home. This marked the start of a fully national production process which, in partnership with a factory in Felgueiras, restored to the SANJO® brand its status as truly made in Portugal. As part of this renewal journey, the SANJO® brand replaced the traditional vulcanised sole with a bonded sole developed with greater environmental awareness, while still preserving the iconic rubber and canvas that shaped generations and cemented the identity of the Portuguese brand SANJO®. In doing so, it reinforced its commitment to carrying that generational legacy forward, not only through the creation of a trainer, but through the building of a heritage that endures over time. The Portuguese brand SANJO® therefore returned to the market with the ambition to grow, evolve and continue writing its story on the feet of the Portuguese.
