Founded in 2013 by Portuguese designers Joana Santos and Hugo Silva, the Portuguese brand DAM® was created with the ambition of taking a more human, authentic and conscious approach to furniture and accessory design from Portugal to the world. Inspired by Portuguese culture, nature and the stories concealed within everyday gestures and objects, it transforms familiar references into contemporary, expressive pieces with a distinctive identity. Each creation seeks to inspire emotion and establish a lasting relationship with those who use it, combining simplicity, functionality and meticulous attention to materials and detail. Designed with specialist expertise and made in Portugal, the pieces created by the Portuguese brand DAM® bring together traditional techniques, craftsmanship and contemporary technologies, while valuing the experience of Portuguese manufacturers and artisans. Wood, cork, straw, wicker, rope and local stone form part of a material language deeply rooted in the land, selected with respect for natural resources and product longevity.
