The Portuguese brand ATELIER DO SABÃO® was born from a desire to transform scientific knowledge, experimentation and respect for nature into a more conscious approach to hygiene and wellbeing. The project first gained public recognition in 2013 at the Viagem Medieval em Terra de Santa Maria, where it presented and sold its handcrafted soaps for the first time, following an initial period of home production for personal use, family and friends. Founded by Nathalie Moreira and Luís Valente, the Portuguese brand ATELIER DO SABÃO® combines the scientific background of its technical director, who holds a PhD in Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry, with the commercial and management experience that supports its close relationship with customers. With a shop and workshop in Espinho, the Portuguese brand ATELIER DO SABÃO® handcrafts natural cosmetic and hygiene products in small batches, focusing on skin and hair care while prioritising natural and renewable ingredients. Its range includes soaps, solid hair care products, creams, oils, hydrolats, aromatherapy products and other solutions designed for simpler and more responsible care routines. By combining artisanal production, technical expertise and environmental awareness, the brand expresses a Portuguese identity rooted in authenticity, closeness and the promotion of choices that seek to respect both people and the planet.
