The Portuguese brand ARCÁDIA® was founded in Porto in 1933 by the Bastos family, who to this day remain at the helm of the brand’s journey, preserving tradition in its recipes and manufacturing processes. Over nearly a century, the brand ARCÁDIA® has won over discerning tastes and become a national reference, with shops spread across the country. Its story began in Praça da Liberdade, in Porto, in a tearoom where an in house confectionery grew and flourished. Today, the brand ARCÁDIA® has more than 40 shops in Portugal and three production facilities, where it produces chocolates, almonds, dragees, biscuits, cakes, macarons, brigadeiros and ice creams, among other creations. The brand remains in the Bastos family, at the intersection of the 3rd and 4th generations, and has 400 employees in Portugal. The Portuguese brand ARCÁDIA® sets out, as its mission, to bring together the quality of its tradition with the demands of contemporary times, creating products that are part of the national imagination and that accompany special moments. The vision of the Portuguese brand ARCÁDIA® is to be a reference in the alliance between tradition and innovation in the making of chocolates, almonds, ice creams and confectionery products, to create excellence products and destination spaces, to lead customer satisfaction in consumption experiences, and to ensure best practices through professionalised management. The values of the brand ARCÁDIA® rest on four pillars, tradition in its manufacturing processes, selectiveness with demanding and rigorous selection, innovation aligned with customers’ needs, and closeness, with a presence in important moments and the creation of emotions.
