The porcelain factory of the Portuguese brand VA VISTA ALEGRE® was founded in 1824, in Ílhavo, central Portugal, born of the dream of a visionary Portuguese gentleman. More than 175 years later, throughout a route that has produced a vast portfolio of products closely associated with the history and cultural life of Europe, a merger takes place between the Vista Alegre group and the Atlantis group, forming the largest national group of tableware and giftware, and one of the largest in the industry worldwide – the Vista Alegre Atlantis Group. Nowadays, the branded pieces – always at the forefront of innovation and design – are featured at the tables of the most prominent personalities as well as several embassies and other institutions and state or individual organizations, being also represented in several international museums.
