The Portuguese handmade cider brand SIDRADA® was born in 2017, in the West of Portugal, and was one of the first cider brands to be born in the country. Producer of fruit for three generations, of apples and «rock» pear, the Clímaco Pereira family decided to start producing cider to take advantage of the small-caliber fruit. It took several years to test and perfect the recipe for SIDRADA® brand ciders. All the ciders and sparkling cider it produces have 100% Portuguese West fruit, with no added colors, flavorings, gluten and four times less sugars than the commercial ciders on the market. The SIDRADA® brand has received several awards nationwide, very good reviews from international cider experts and is gaining more and more fans every day. Raw and medium-dry sparkling wines are produced using the classic method, using only natural ingredients. The SIDRADA® brand also has a great environmental concern from integrated production in orchards, through production methods without plastics and the use of paper labels and paper cups and boxes at festivals. The brand SIDRADA® is an advocate of reducing waste and the philosophy of “producing locally, consuming locally”. The brand SIDRADA® likes to be called a ‘zero waste cider’, because it bases the whole process on reducing food and resource waste. Over the years, the brand SIDRADA® has been proving that Portugal can also have quality ciders and that it can offer ciders made with national raw material. «Cidering» and change mentalities are the goals of the brand SIDRADA®.
