At the head of a group that, after more than 50 years, has become a leader in children’s fashion, Roger Zannier is now also involved in several wine regions in Portugal. While traveling frequently to Portugal for his textile activities, Roger Zannier discovered QUINTA DO PESSEGUEIRO® and literally fell under the spell of the estate and the Douro region. In 1991, he became the owner and planted vines directly there. His first and one of his most important investments in the world of wine had just seen the light of day. The property has grown over time and today consists of three plots, all located in the Douro region. As they are among the most unlikely lands where man has ever planted vines, it was necessary to have the foresight and modesty of a respectful captain of the terroir to perpetuate the techniques of ancestral cultures, innovate in the most modern and combine knowledge and know-how a distinguished lieutenant like João Nicolau de Almeida. The family is one of Roger Zannier’s most cherished values. He therefore entrusted property management to his son-in-law, Marc Monrose. This Burgundian origin, sensitive to the land, attached to cultures and values, to the love of life and wine, is undoubtedly the man for the mission to fulfill the mission and lead the commercial enterprise to success.
