BRAND PAPEL D’OURO®

The brand PAPEL D’OURO® it’s a unique project in Portugal by manufacturing 100% cotton fiber paper from the maceration of textile wastes – only by adding water – as well as paper-made eco-design objects. The peculiarity of its artisanal production sheet-by-sheet (through wood forms) also gives him an abroad recognition. The concept behind this project is totally eco-friendly because it aims to reduce environmental impact using a wood-free cellulose and practicing the principles of a circular economy (consuming the textile wastes as raw material). Over the years, the brand PAPEL D’OURO® has developed several creative proposals based on a zero-waste policy and sustainable economy in arts (painting and engraving), paper and stationery, gift, merchandising, branding, packaging, décor and events. The differentiation of the brand PAPEL D’OURO® comes from the offer of a green product that combines its authenticity, quality and timeliness – according to its manufacture – with innovation, due to natural elements that are incorporated in the cotton paper, per example sisal, flowers, aromatic herbs and even seeds that germinate (plantable paper), as well as the possibility of reproduction of reliefs and textures. Plasticity is also a characteristic of the brand PAPEL D’OURO®, as the tissue-paper is liable for use in several different areas.
