BRAND OLIVAE®

With the care of artisanal methods, the Portuguese brand OLIVAE® produces from the finest virgin olive oil, serpentine goat’s milk, beeswax and biological essential oils, high quality natural soaps, which ensure a deep cleansing and hydration of the skin. At the same time, it favors the use of indigenous raw materials, in order to contribute to the enhancement of natural resources and local economies. The brand OLIVAE® offers a unique soap, made with the simplicity of artisanal know-how. The saponification process of OLIVAE® soaps consists solely in the addition of fatty acids (olive oil) to alkaline elements (sodium hydroxide), an ancestral knowledge attributed to the Arabs in the 19th century. XIII. The ingredients used are of the highest quality and carefully selected in order to contribute to the promotion of local economies and the sustainability of the resources used. These principles are ensured by privileging the establishment of partnerships with local producers to supply the necessary raw materials. An example of this is the collaboration established with the Cooperativa Agrícola de Portel and the Portuguese Association of Capriniculturists of the Serpentina Breed. Virgin olive oil, serpentine goat’s milk, an autochthonous breed exclusive to Portugal, and beeswax come from farms located in the south of Portugal, managed in a traditional way and according to environmentally friendly practices. The biological essential oils, which give the various aromas to OLIVAE® soaps, also come from producers who comply with demanding quality standards and are produced, by steam distillation, from species of Portuguese flora. To flavor OLIVAE® soaps, no chemical substances are used.
