The Portuguese brand MISS CAN FROM PORTUGAL WITH LOVE MORE THAN CANNED FOOD® allies’ tradition, culture, gastronomy and design. The brand MISS CAN FROM PORTUGAL WITH LOVE MORE THAN CANNED FOOD® was born from the desire to create a business linked to canning, thus recovering a family heirloom. It was in 1911 that the Soares Ribeiro family began this business by creating two canneries. A century later, three partners (two of Luís Soares Ribeiro´s great grandchildren and a great-granddaughter of João Rodrigues, a stockist and distributor of the first Portuguese cannery) decided to put together a high quality selection of canned fish in an entirely artisan process, thus revealing what Portugal has best to offer. The brand MISS CAN FROM PORTUGAL WITH LOVE MORE THAN CANNED FOOD® is the daughter of a Varina that is almost a mermaid. Varina is the name given to the Portuguese women that used to wander through the streets of Portuguese coastal villages, selling fish carried in a basket. The brand MISS CAN FROM PORTUGAL WITH LOVE MORE THAN CANNED FOOD® has five different personalities, each personality assembled with three different fish cans that differ from each other by its seasoning. More than innovating in the packaging, the brand MISS CAN FROM PORTUGAL WITH LOVE MORE THAN CANNED FOOD® wanted to create a truly Portuguese typical experience, using different fish species.
