BRAND LICOR 35 – CREME DE PASTEL DE NATA®

The Portuguese brand LICOR 35 – CREME DE PASTEL DE NATA® is a liquor inspired in the traditional Pastel de Belém and was born in 2016 from the founder’s mission, Paulo Lima, to create a Portuguese product for the world. Known as custard tart, the Pastel de Belém is an ancient desert dating back to the 19th century and it was initially made by monks of Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, in Lisbon. Nowadays, it is a mandatory gastronomic experience for those who visit the capital city. Marks of the Portuguese soul can be found all over the world. However, for Paulo Lima, the custard tart flavour was yet to be explored. As one of the flavours that define Portuguese identity, the custard tart was the choice of the founder for the liquor that would take the name of Portugal not only to Portuguese communities, but also to all corners of the world. From the beginning, the brand LICOR 35 – CREME DE PASTEL DE NATA® aims to deliver Portugal’s tradition in the most delicious way possible. Today, LICOR 35 – CREME DE PASTEL DE NATA® is already spread across the European and American continent, and even in Oceania. There is a bit of this Portuguese flavour in several countries, and the brand continues to take it to new destinations. The name LICOR 35 – CREME DE PASTEL DE NATA® came in the process of its formulation. Of the 21 tests carried out to reach the exact flavour, the 3rd and 5th were unanimously highlighted by all the team involved. At the time, the numbers 3 and 5 also revealed the age of the founder, Paulo Lima, so everything indicated that these figures had to be linked to the brand. This is how the brand LICOR 35 – CREME DE PASTEL DE NATA® was born, produced by a team that believes in the value of a liquor that brings a taste so typically Portuguese, to the world. The custard tart with no crumbs. Don’t resist !
