“At KCKLICO® we are looking for a delicate way to touch the world.” That is how Albane and Luís, the founders of the Portuguese brand KCKLICO® like to define their brand. Inspired by the seasons, the brand KCKLICO® designs spontaneous and wild flowering branches, with an emphasis on singular species, valuing natural and local resources. Its name was chosen through the phonetic writing of the word ‘coquelicot’, French translation of poppy. It is a spontaneous, persevering species, but of ephemeral existence if we harvest it, whose seeds are delicious in a lemon cake! Albane and Luís love to live surrounded by flowers with their daughter Violetta (of course she could only have a flower name) and they transformed the garden into a laboratory and a vegetable refuge. At the brand KCKLICO® the garden is the first source of flowers and a constant inspiration. In it, they shelter abandoned plants and let the ‘undesirable’ grow. The brand KCKLICO® also counts on the complicity of others passionate about flowers, with their private gardens and urban gardens, to enrich their branches, however it is in abandoned lands or on the side of paths, where nature creates its involuntary gardens, they find the most beautiful treasures. When they need to complete their choices, at the brand KCKLICO® the preference is always for small local producers. At brand KCKLICO® there is a concern with the origin of the species and only national flowers are selected. The branches of the brand KCKLICO® are abundant in different species but are carefully collected. The seeds and some of the plants that are used in the branches of KCKLICO® can be sown or planted later, being a way to return a part to nature. At the brand KCKLICO® every branch is made with love!
